FERNANDO’S
HIDEAWAY EXPANDS TO ONE HOUR ON BNN-9
Boston,
Massachusetts – The bilingual
variety show, Fernando’s Hideaway/El
Show De Fernandito, which premiered on
November 5 on BNN-Channel 9, will expand
to an hour starting on January 7, 2005!
Since its inception, the show has featured
talented Latin American artists, however,
the extended format will allow hosts Fernando
Bossa and Shirley Cardona to conduct interviews
with some of Boston’s most influential
movers and shakers. The show on January
7, 2005 will be in celebration of Three
Kings Day (Los Tres Reyes) and will star
Felita Oyola & Combo
Estrellas in addition to producer,
director and writer Raquel
Ortiz.
On
January 14, 2005, the excitement continues
when Peruvian artist InKasWaski and the
Museum of Fine Arts’ Manager of
Community Outreach, Marta Rivera, will
be Fernando’s guests. Cape Verdean
group Zerui will
perform on January 21, 2005, with a dance
troupe, and on January 28, 2005, Colombian
groups the Max Garcia Trio
and El Esquardron 574
will be appearing.
Fernando
Bossa was recently featured in The
Boston Globe, El Mundo,
The Dorchester Reporter, Dorchester
Community News and The Boston
City Paper and made a television
appearance on a segment of the CBS4 News
show “Centro” on December
4, 2004.

on the new expanded version of Fernando’s
Hideaway/El Show De Fernandito which appears
on Fridays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on BNN-Channel
9 on Comcast Cable and repeats on Saturday
at 3:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and Monday
at 1:00 a.m. and appears on RCN Cable
on Channels 15 and 83. If you’d
